Bruce Springsteen shares Chicago concert recording for free
Bruce Springsteen is handing out a very cool consolation prize after postponing his New York show at Madison Square Garden on Sunday due to the blizzard.
But the rock star isn't limiting his gift just to ticket-holders of Sunday night's show. The Boss is letting everyone download the live recording of his Jan. 19 Chicago concert as a free MP3 through Tuesday night.
Springsteen teased fans with the surprise on Sunday evening, writing, "Out here on E Street, we're missing our fans at @TheGarden tonight and wanted to send this along..."
He continued, "The live recording of #TheRiverTourChicago on 1/19 will be available as a free MP3 download for the next two days," and added a link to the download page. He also tweeted a link to a stream.
The recording includes Springsteen's first performance of "Take It Easy," by the Eagles, who just lost member Glenn Frey.
Springsteen is currently on The River tour. He has not announced yet when the New York concert will be rescheduled.
