Bruce Springsteen plays 2-hour surprise set at New Jersey bar

Saturday was likely just any ordinary night in Asbury Park, on the Jersey shore.

Until Bruce Springsteen waltzed into the Wonder Bar on Ocean Avenue.

The 65-year-old rocker made a surprise appearance at the pub, joining Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers for close to two hours onstage.

According to NJ.com, Springsteen played 15 songs, including "Darkness on the Edge of Town," "Atlantic City" and "The Promised Land." His encore included "Pink Cadillac" and "Light of Day."

Grushecky, who hails from Pittsburgh, introduced his band and then brought on Springsteen, calling him "the King of New Jersey."

The New Jersey native has been known to make pop-up appearances before. Just a few weeks ago, he showed up at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, Jersey, where he played two songs with Brian Wilson.
