Bristol Palin announces second pregnancy
In a post on her blog, the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Bristol Palin, announced she is expecting her second child.
Thursday's post, titled, "Big News," starts off with the 24-year-old writing, "(I'm announcing this news a lot sooner than I ever expected due to the constant trolls who have nothing better to talk about!!!)"
She also shared the blog post on her verified Facebook and Twitter page.
Palin, who was famously pregnant with her first child at 16 when her mother was campaigning for vice president in 2008, writes Thursday that she knows her pregnancy has and will be a huge disappointment to her family.
"Honestly, I've been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one," she writes. "At the end of the day there's nothing I can't do with God by my side, and I know I am fully capable of handling anything that is put in front of me with dignity and grace."
She added, "Life moves on no matter what. So no matter how you feel, you get up, get dressed, show up, and never give up."
The post makes no mention of who the father is. Last month she called-off her wedding to former Marine and U.S. Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer. In May, she addressed the called off wedding on her blog.
"I guess you have seen by now that the wedding -- that was supposed to happen last weekend -- was called off," she wrote. "I'm sure you've seen this has been all over the media, but this is a painful time for family and friends and I would just really appreciate your prayers."
On her blogs About Me page, Palin says she frequently speaks in front of groups across the country, where she focuses on inspirational and pro-life topics.
Palin appeared as a contestant on ABC-TV's Dancing with the Stars in 2010 and again as a contestant in ABC-TV's Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars in 2012. She also starred in a Lifetime reality series, "Life's a Tripp," featuring her son in 2012.
On Sarah Palin's verified Twitter there is no mention of her daughters most recent pregnancy news. The report could not be immediately verified with the Palin camp Thursday night.
