Angelina Jolie talks "Unbroken" at Sydney premiere

While the actress was at home recovering from the chickenpox, her husband, Brad Pitt, and three of their children attended the Los Angeles premiere her new movie "Unbroken."

Pitt showed up at the event on Monday alongside Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, and Shiloh, 8, as well as his parents, Jane and Will Pitt. The children stayed for the red carpet premiere, but ducked out before the film screening -- as the movie is rated R.

Universal Pictures announced Friday that Jolie's "mild bout of chicken pox" would keep her from promotional events surrounding her new film about former Olympian Louis Zamperini.

"I will be home itching and missing everyone," she said in a video. "I can't believe it, because this film means so much to me... But such is life. There it is."

"Unbroken" marks Jolie's second turn in the director's chair. It hits theaters Christmas Day.
