Boy, 14, shot on his way home from MLK parade in Florida

MIAMI - A teenager was shot in the Brownsville area of Miami on Monday while walking home from a Martin Luther King Jr. day parade, according to CBS Miami.

Police reportedly said Julius Wade was shot in the left arm but his chest was also pierced, the teen was taken to the Jackson Memorial Hospital where he remains hospitalized.

Wade's cousin, Tariq Baily, was with him when the shooting happened. He told the station his cousin is doing better and wished that the violence would stop. Baily also said he doesn't belive his cousin was the intended target.

The shooter remains at large and anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Miami-Dade Crimestoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
