Bobby Jindal endorses Marco Rubio for president

Former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal on Friday endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio for president, making him the third former 2016 candidate to line up behind the Florida senator.

"The reality is these are very dangerous times," Jindal said on Fox Friday evening. "Marco's been consistent about strengthening America's foreign policy."

He also called Rubio a "principled conservative" who "can unify our party" with his optimistic message. "We're both children of immigrants, I don't think he takes the American dream for granted," Jindal said.

Jindal ended his own presidential bid back in November.

Earlier this week, former Sen. Rick Santorum endorsed Rubio, while former New York Gov. George Pataki gave his endorsement late last month.
