Blind, deaf man with cerebral palsy murdered outside his home
SACRAMENTO -- A man who lived with cerebral palsy, was legally blind and had a hearing impairment, was gunned down Monday near his apartment, reports CBS Sacramento.
Police say 58-year-old Frank Knight was on his way to work at a Sacramento Goodwill store when he was killed, walking from his home to a ParaTransit stop that services the disabled and elderly.
Knight, who was born with cerebral palsy, was hit by several gunshots. Investigators haven't said if they have suspects.
Knight worked at a Goodwill store for more than 35 years, most recently as a greeter, said coworker Lonnie Griffith.
"It's going to be tough going to work and not seeing him every morning," she said.
