Blake Shelton to host the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards

Blake Shelton has already lined up a major gig for 2016: The country star is set to host Nickelodeon's 2016 Kids' Choice Awards.

Shelton, 39, made the announcement Monday during a visit to NBC's "Today" show.

"My agent called and was like, 'Man, you know, is there anything that you can think of that you'd want to do?' And I actually had been thinking, 'I want to host those Kids' Choice Awards!' And she was like, 'Uh, OK....It's fun. And I want to get slimed!"

Prior to the announcement, Shelton took to Twitter to tease the news:

After splitting from wife Miranda Lambert over the summer, Shelton's rep confirmed last week that the singer is now dating the newly single Gwen Stefani.
