"Better Call Saul" could have a Walter White cameo

Yet another reason to be excited about the "Breaking Bad" prequel, "Better Call Saul" (and also a little sad that it's been delayed until next year) -- it's sounding more and more likely that Bryan Cranston's chemistry teacher-turned-drug kingpin, Walter White, could make an appearance.

Executive producer Peter Gould tells the New York Daily News that the AMC series has the potential to move back and forth across several decades, including the era in which White cooked and sold crystal meth.

"One of the great things about having a time line which is flexible is that perhaps some of it takes place before 'Breaking Bad,' during 'Breaking Bad,' and after 'Breaking Bad.' That gives us the ability to bring back characters that were killed on 'Breaking Bad,'" he reveals.

But while he wants Cranston to guest-star, Gould says he thinks the "Saul" story can stand on its own.

"We want to make a show that stands on it own, is its own story and is a brand extension," he adds. "We think we have a story that is worth making. ... We could never dream of the kind of success that 'Breaking Bad' had and the love we got from the fans. But (with 'Saul') at a certain point you have to do the best job you can and tell the best story that entertains you, get a good response and hope people like it."

AMC has already renewed "Better Call Saul" for a second season. The show will make its debut in early 2015.
