Baltimore juvenile prosecutor arrested in child porn case
BALTIMORE – A Baltimore prosecutor was arrested Monday and charged with possession and distribution of child pornography, reports CBS Baltimore.
Patrick Michael Moran, 39, was charged after police served a search and seizure warrant at his home Tuesday.
On July 12, Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about Internet activity related to child pornography. The investigation led detectives to identify Moran’s address, police said.
Moran has been a Baltimore assistant state’s attorney since 2003, and is assigned to the juvenile division, reports The Baltimore Sun.
There is no evidence to indicate that Moran was involved in the production of child pornography, police said.
Moran was released on $150,000 bail.
