Bald eagle rescued from car's grill in Florida

CLAY COUNTY, Florida - Rescue workers were called to the scene of an unusual accident in Clay County, Florida, last week when a driver reported a bald eagle was stuck in their car’s grill.

Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Clay Fire Rescue personnel responded and carefully removed the bird from the car.

The sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post that the bird was turned over to the B.E.A.K.S. Wildlife Sanctuary, which has housed and rehabilitated injured wild birds on Big Talbot Island east of Jacksonville for over 30 years.
