Arrest in Andover home invasion where teen was tied up

ANDOVER, Mass. -- Police have arrested a homeless sex offender in connection to a home invasion where a teen girl was tied up in the Boston suburb of Andover, reports CBS Boston.

Peter Bardzick, 53, faces multiple charges including kidnapping, home invasion, and larceny.

Police say Bardzick, broke into the home on July 31.

The teenage girl said the suspect told her, "I need you to stay calm."

"He just said 'cash' and then struggled for a bit. They struggled and eventually he got her hands duct taped," the victim's father told the station at the time.

The suspect allegedly tied the girl to a kitchen chair, and used duct tape to bind her ankles and cover her mouth.

The teenager's mother and brother soon returned home and Bardzick allegedly ran out the front door and broke into another home in town on the same day.

Bardzick, a level three sex offender, is already being held on unrelated charges.
