Andrew Dice Clay files for divorce from wife Valerie Silverstein

The Diceman is a bachelor again.

Comedian and actor Andrew Dice Clay filed divorce papers on March 18 in Los Angeles Superior Court to end his marriage to Valerie Silverstein, according to People.

The "Blue Jasmine" star and Silverstein had been married since tying the knot on Valentine's Day 2010 in Las Vegas.

The couple did not have any children together.

Clay, whose real name is Andrew Silverstein, said the couple's relationship has actually improved following the divorce proceedings.

"The word 'marriage' was putting a pressure on our relationship and since we filed, we've been more in love and have had more respect for each other than ever before," Clay, 56, said in a statement to People. He added that they even celebrated their divorce at Craig's, an upscale restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif.

This was Clay's third marriage. He has two grown sons, Max and Dylan, from his previous marriage to Kathleen Monica.
