Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll split
Comedy power couple Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll have parted ways.
The "Parks and Recreation" actress, 44, was all smiles at the Emmys on Sunday, but the comedian brought her business partner Brooke Posch instead of Kroll as her date.
"Unfortunately, they just couldn't make the relationship work with their schedules," a source told Us Weekly.
Poehler and Kroll, 37, who stars on "Kroll Show" and "The League," just couldn't make their busy schedules work.
"They really tried, but it just wasn't realistic anymore," said the source. "They were spending more time apart than together."
Kroll and Poehler started dating in 2013; Poehler and ex-husband Will Arnett divorced in 2012.
She said of the divorce in her book "Yes Please": "Imagine spreading everything you care about on a blanket and then tossing the whole thing up in the air. The process of divorce is about loading that blanket, throwing it up, watching it all spin, and worrying what stuff will break when it lands."
Poehler once said of Kroll, "I have a boyfriend who knows how to settle me. He puts his hand on my chest and tells me boring stories. On one of our first nights together I woke up apologizing for my snoring and he pulled out two earplugs he had worn to bed so he could hear what I was saying. It was one of the most romantic gestures I have ever seen."
