"American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson" reveals first cast photos

FX has unveiled the first batch of cast photos for its upcoming anthology series "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson."

The project, from "American Horror Story" co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, will chronicle Simpson's 1995 murder trial from the perspective of the lawyers involved in the case and chronicle the behind-the-scenes dealings on both sides of the court.

Photos of some of the principle cast members -- including Cuba Gooding Jr. as Simpson and John Travolta as attorney Robert Shapiro, were released online Thursday.

The cast also includes Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian and Selma Blair as Kris Jenner. Billy Magnussen ("Into the Woods") is playing Kato Kaelin, and Courtney B. Vance will portray Johnnie Cochran.

Production on "American Crime Story" is currently underway in Los Angeles, and the series will premiere next year on FX.
