Amazon orders new pilot from "Transparent" creator Jill Soloway

Amazon Studios is looking to stay in the Jill Soloway business, as the streaming network has ordered a pilot for the "Transparent" creator's new show, "I Love Dick."

The proposed series, based on a novel by Chris Kraus, follows a married couple in Marfa, Texas, obsessed with an unpleasant professor named Dick and will be told in shifting, "Rashomon"-style points of view, according to Amazon. The pilot is written by Sarah Gubbins and directed by Soloway.

Amazon has seen great success with Soloway's first series, "Transparent," which has won numerous awards and critical acclaim and is currently in production on its third season. It was the first show from Amazon to be nominated for and win an Emmy.
