Amanda Bynes leaves psychiatric facility
Just days after a judge ruled that Amanda Bynes remain in a psychiatric facility another 30 days, the actress was spotted roaming around Los Angeles.
TMZ snapped photos of the former child star walking along Sunset Strip on Thursday night, hunting for a place to stay. She also had dinner alone at a diner and was photographed chatting with the waitress there.
Insiders tell the site she had a meeting at the psychiatric facility on Thursday where she asked to be released. A hearing officer reportedly decided she seemed OK enough to leave.
Doctors had requested she continue her time there, noting that they didn't feel she was ready for release.
Bynes, 29, entered the facility on Oct. 10 under a 72-hour involuntary psychiatric hold following a series of headlining-grabbing incidents, including a DUI arrest and an alleged shoplifting incident.
She also posted a series of bizarre tweets about her father, personal life and more. In her Twitter rant Bynes accused her father of sexual abuse before taking it all back, blaming her claims on a "microchip" in her head.
Following her release, Bynes took to social media Friday -- posting a series of tweets about her treatments, parents and more.
Bynes rose to fame as a child star on Nickelodeon and later appeared in the films "Hairspray" and "She's the Man." More recently, she's expressed interest in a fashion career.
