Alleged kidnapping victim led police to a garage full of others
DENVER, Colo. -- Four men in Denver have been arrested for the alleged kidnapping and abuse of four women in a Colorado garage, reports CBS Denver.
Police raided a Denver home last week where the women were discovered inside the garage.
According to court documents, one of the victims was kidnapped outside of a diner early Thursday morning. She told police two men with guns forced her into their car and took her to a home less than three miles from the diner. Once in the garage with the three other women, they were all violently abused.
One of the women was released by the suspects and she went to a local hospital. At the hospital she told investigators there were more women being held against their will inside of the garage.
CBS Denver reports that inside of the garage at the home the four women women were stripped, bound with duct tape and assaulted. And at least one of the alleged victims was forcibly given excessive amounts of methamphetamine.
Police say the four men allegedly responsible have been identified as Edgar Barroso, Juvenal Tamayo, Pedro Valdez and Steven Hillen.
It is unclear what the relationship between the victims and suspects may be. According to police, at least one of the victims said she is "friends" with one of the men arrested.
All the men are facing felony kidnapping, assault and menacing charges. CBS Denver reports that the investigation is ongoing and it's possible the suspects may also face sex assault charges.
Police say they believe they have located all the victims in the case.
