Alexander Hill Jr., suspect in Va. quadruple murder, still on the run

RICHMOND, Va. - The man police suspect of killing four people - including a small child - last April is still on the run, reports CBS affiliate WTVR.

Alexander Rosevelt Hill, Jr., 48, still eludes U.S. Marshals one year after police were called to the burned-out home in Petersburg where firefighters discovered the bodies of Pauline Wilkins, her daughter Vicki Chavis Ansar, her granddaughter Tanique Davis, and her great grandson Delvari Chavis, who was just 2-years-old.

According to the station, the Medical Examiner said Wilkins and Ansar died from stab wounds to the torso, while the other two died from heat and smoke inhalation.

Hill, aka "Real Deal," is reportedly an ex-boyfriend of Vivian Chavis, who lived at the home, but wasn't there when the violence unfolded.

The U.S. Marshals service says Hill traveled to Roanoke Rapids, N.C., by taxi just after midnight on Easter Sunday 2014, according to U.S. Marshals and Petersburg Police Detectives. Later that morning, Hill paid a man to drive him to the Amtrak Station in Rocky Mount, N.C.

Since then Hill has fallen off law enforcement's radar.

"He could be anywhere in the U.S. at this point in time," said U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson. "We are still actively seeking him and will continue to search until he is apprehended."

Hill has family ties in Texas, Mississippi, Arizona and Virginia. He also wears hazel contacts which give him a very distinct look. He is 5'8" and weights 195 pounds.

In a statement, the U.S. Marshal said, "Hill has an infatuation with sex chat lines and a history of meeting older and considerably younger women whom he can control easily. He could be working an under-the-table paying job such as construction or landscaping."

Anyone that may have had contact with or seen Hill is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals at 1-877-WANTED-2 (1-877-926-8332).

A reward of $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Hill. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
