Ads to run against House GOP members who voted for health care bill

Days after House Republicans passed their bill to repeal and replace Obamacare, the health care advocacy group Save My Care -- which opposes the repeal bill -- is launching an ad campaign exceeding $500,000 for this week against 24 members of Congress who voted for the bill. The ad buy will be a mix of TV in some districts and digital ads in others throughout this week.

Among the targets is Rep. Martha McSally, R-Arizona. Here's the ad airing against her:

The ads highlight the Congressional Budget Office's score of the original House bill, which forecast that 24 million would lose their health coverage over the next decade, and changes to the Affordable Care Act in the GOP bill, including that people over 50 years of age can be charged over five times as younger people, and pre-existing conditions will be treated differently.

"Congresswoman McSally just voted for a disastrous health care repeal bill opposed by the American Medical Association, AARP and the American Cancer Society," one ad says. "McSally voted to raise your costs and cut coverage for millions, to let insurance companies deny affordable coverage for cancer treatment and maternity care, and charge five times more for people over 50."
