Adriana Lima and Marko Jaric are separating

Adriana Lima and Marko Jaric are calling it quits after five years of marriage.

People reports that the 32-year-old Victoria's Secret model and the 35-year-old ex-NBA star have decided to separate.

"After long and careful consideration, we have decided to separate after five years of marriage," they said in a joint statement. "We are grateful to be the parents of two incredible young daughters that we will continue to co-parent. We would greatly appreciate your respect for our family's privacy as we begin this delicate next chapter for all members of our family."

The couple met in 2006 and got engaged in 2008 before exchanging vows in 2009 in a private civil ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyo.

They have two daughters together: Valentina, 4, and Sienna, 19 months.
