Adorable lion cubs meet dad for first time at Texas zoo
FORT WORTH -- It's family bonding time at the Fort Worth Zoo in Texas. For the first time, the zoo's new lion cubs met their dad and the cute moments that ensued were captured in pictures, CBS Dallas KTVT reports.
The first meeting included all three napping together, some playing and the cubs exploring dad.
According to the Fort Worth Zoo, the sires are kept away from the pride, but in this case, he showed signs of being very calm with them, so the zoo decided to try bringing them together.
According to the Fort Worth Zoo website, the Fort Worth Zoo's newest members of the pride were born this spring, on March 29, to mother Abagebe and father Jabulani. Weighing only 2 pounds at birth, the two female African lion cubs will grow to weigh up to 275 pounds, while the male cub could weigh more than 400 pounds.
