Adele announces first North American tour in five years
Adele is going on the road for the first time in five years.
On Monday, the 27-year-old singer announced a North American tour that kicks off July 5 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and wraps on Nov. 15 in Mexico City.
The outing includes a whopping six nights at New York's Madison Square Garden and six shows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. local time.
Adele will be on tour for a good portion of 2016. The North American leg follows previously announced dates in the U.K. and Europe.
The "Hello" singer will be out behind her No. 1 album, "25," which was released last month and went on to sell 3 million copes in one week.
Adele's recent performance at Radio City Music Hall -- dubbed "Adele Live in New York City" -- will air Monday (Dec. 14) on NBC at 10 p.m. ET.
