Aaron Rodgers suffers broken collarbone, could miss rest of season, team says

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone Sunday, and he could be out for the rest of the season, his team tweeted.

Rodgers was carted off the field as his team faced the Minnesota the Vikings on Sunday. He was drilled by Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr after throwing a short pass in the first quarter. Rodgers landed squarely on his right shoulder after taking the hit.

CBS Sports writes that a broken collarbone can take six to eight weeks to heal, which means Rodgers would likely miss some serious time.

The injury marks the second time Rodgers has suffered a broken collarbone. The 33-year-old fractured his collarbone during the 2013 season and was able to return in nine weeks.
