60 Minutes taps into "Star Wars" fan base
"Talk about 'The Force.' The fans are a force to be reckoned with," Bill Whitaker told "Star Wars" director J.J. Abrams on Sunday's 60 Minutes. "It's intense."
That intensity was evident on social media this week. Some fans experienced physical reactions:
Won't lie this 60 minutes star wars is sending chills down my spine can't wait

60 Minutes managed to convert a few non-believers:
I've never watched 60 minutes before.... Until they said they're talking about Star Wars.

60 minutes is doing a segment on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This is the first time I ever watch 60 minutes

And the "Star Wars" franchise garnered a few new fans as well:

Fans of Formula One champ Lewis Hamilton also flooded the Twitter-sphere. But it wasn't his driving that drew the biggest response, it was his music and his not-yet-released first album.
Some liked it:
Hear Lewis Hamilton's first songs. Not gonna lie, they actually sound pretty dope! https://t.co/9fUxRxhioR

Others not so much:

But one fan sang a different tune:
