3 kids wounded in drive-by shooting at LA taco stand
LOS ANGELES -- Police say three children at a Los Angeles taco stand were injured in a drive-by shooting.
LAPD spokeswoman Officer Liliana Preciado says the shots were fired from a car on the city's south side shortly after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Lt. John Jenal tells the Los Angeles Times that a boy and a girl, both 13, were shot and taken to a hospital, where they are in stable condition.
The Times reports that a 10-year-old boy was hit by shrapnel, but he was not hospitalized.
Police tell the Times that the shooting was probably related to gang activity in the neighborhood. A man was seen running from the shooting scene, and police say they believe he was the intended target.
No arrests have been made.
