2016 Campaign cash: How the candidates measured up in the first quarter
Nearly every presidential candidate in the 2016 race (excluding late-comer Jim Webb, the former senator) has now filed their first campaign disclosure report with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), giving some indication of their support so far.
Leading Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton had the strongest fundraising quarter, setting a record for an opening quarter in a campaign.
The campaigns for Republicans Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio raised more than Jeb Bush's campaign, though the super PAC affiliated with Bush is expected to eclipse all of those fundraising hauls. Super PACs don't have to file financial disclosure reports until July 31.
Meanwhile, one Republican candidate is already carrying some debt.
