2 FBI agents shot in St. Louis County
Two FBI agents were shot early Wednesday morning in St. Louis County, the agency tells CBS News.
The FBI later said the gunman was dead, though it wasn't clear how he died.
Both agents were taken to a hospital by ambulance. One had been shot in a shoulder, the other in a leg, the agency says, adding that neither injury was life-threatening.
The agents were called to a home where someone was barricaded, county police told CBS News. The FBI says the agents were executing an arrest warrant.
An agency official tells CBS News the suspect was thought to be the man who shot his mother to death, then shot and wounded a responding police officer earlier this week in University City, Missouri.
The FBI says the incident wasn't directly related to protests over the announcement Tuesday night that a grand jury decided not to indict a white Ferguson, Missouri police officer for the August shooting death of an unarmed black teen.
The gunfire happened some 5 miles outside Ferguson.
