19-year-old charged with murder in death of her newborn baby

OLATHE, Kan. -A 19-year-old Kansas woman has been charged with murder in the death of her newborn baby, reports CBS affiliate KCTV.

Marissa Carol Fields, of Olathe, Kan., faces first-degree murder and aggravated abandonment of a child charges.

Police were called to Fields' home on Dec. 26, 2014, at some point after she gave birth to the child. When police arrived they found the newborn girl dead.

Fields is currently being held on a $100,000 bond. No other details were immediately available.
