Xcel: Storms Knock Out Power To 30K Customers

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Xcel Energy crews have restored power to nearly all of the utility's customers in Minnesota and Wisconsin who lost electricity after a line of thunderstorms moved through.

More than 30,000 customers lost power at the peak of the outage.

By Saturday night, crews had restored power to more than 99 percent of Xcel Energy customers who had lost electricity.

High winds had knocked down trees onto power lines and toppled power poles.
