Working Longer Days Connected With Increased Stroke Risk
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Showing up to the office early and staying late may impress your boss, but it could hurt your health.
French researchers found people who work more than 10 hour days at least 50 days a year increase their chance of stroke.
Researches tracked 144,000 French men and women between the ages of 18 and 69.
They found people who worked long hours had a 29% greater risk of stroke.
That risk goes up to 45% if you do it for at least 10 years.
