Police: Woman Dies After Being Shot In Brooklyn Park Parking Lot; Suspect In Custody

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A woman is dead after she was shot in a Brooklyn Park parking lot Wednesday night.
Police say someone flagged down one of their officers on the 5800 block of Brookdale Drive just after 4 p.m., who found the victim unresponsive. Witnesses say someone shot the woman while she was talking to a man in the parking lot.
The victim was brought to a local hospital, where she later died. A man was later taken into custody, and is in Brooklyn Park Jail Wednesday evening.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
