Woman Loses Unborn Child In S. St Paul Car Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Shoreview woman had a miscarriage on Wednesday after a car accident in South St. Paul.

According to the accident report, the car crash occurred at 1:52 p.m. in the 220 block of Grand Avenue in South St. Paul.

The woman was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where the unborn child, Damen Desmond Durand, later died.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said Desmond died as a result of complications of placental abruption due to the crash.

Minnesota State Patrol is currently investigating.
