Woman, 65, Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In Maplewood
MAPLEWOOD, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 65-year-old woman was struck and killed by an SUV in Maplewood Sunday evening.
The incident happened along Highway 120 south of 5th Street at about 7:45 p.m.
The woman, identified as Eri Nakamura of Oakdale, was walking on the shoulder of the highway when she was struck by the SUV.
The Minnesota State Patrol said that the driver of the SUV took off from the scene, heading westbound on Interstate 94 and exiting at Highway 61.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the suspect vehicle is a 2015-2020 silver Mitsubishi Outlander with damage to the front end and driver's side.
Nakamura was taken to Regions Hospital, where she was pronounced dead of her injuries.
