With Peterson Out Of The Picture, Vikings Look For Weapons

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Vikings' next big challenge isn't New Orleans as much as learning to play without All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson.

With him, the team was no juggernaut. But now they have to put their faith in a couple unproven candidates.

Matt Asiata is no Peterson, nor was he expected to be. Yet, he has learned from the former face of the franchise.

Jerick McKinnon is untested, and small.

Recently, he's gotten a crash course in the NFL, but is it enough?

At the end of this week, the Vikings just need to find some weapons…anywhere.
