Report: Student Dies In Winona State University Dorm Room

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 20-year-old Winona State University student died over the weekend in her dorm room, according to reports.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Mary Sullivan died Saturday and her cause of death is under investigation. However, police said no foul play is suspected.

The university says Sullivan enrolled in WSU in the fall of 2014 and was majoring in Exercise and Rehabilitative Sciences: Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.

"Each member of our community of learners plays a vital role, and I know that Mary will be missed by many," Denise McDowell, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Life, said. "I ask all members of the Winona State community to keep Mary and her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. Please reach out to those who may be suffering, and come together to remember Mary's life and the good times you shared."
