Wild's Zach Parise Out For Game With 'Lower Body Injury'

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Wild left wing Zach Parise has exited a game against Nashville on Thursday with a lower-body injury.

Parise left after being checked awkwardly into the boards by James Neal. Parise was battling for the puck near the right wall in the offensive zone when Neal hit him from behind. No penalty was called.

Parise, the team's leading goal scorer with seven, limped off favoring his right leg and briefly went down the tunnel toward the dressing room. He returned and played five more shifts, but then went back to the locker room with about 2 minutes left in the first period. He did not return after that.
