Wild Climb Back In Contention Behind Dubnyk's Dominance

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Shot after shot, Devan Dubnyk has been effectively defending the Minnesota net since arriving in a trade less than three weeks ago.

He might have saved the Wild's season, too.

Dubnyk has a 5-1 record with a 1.71 goals against average and two shutouts while starting all seven games since the Wild acquired him from Arizona.

The 28-year-old Dubnyk made 35 saves in a 4-2 victory at Vancouver on Sunday to help the Wild complete a three-game sweep of their western trip to Canada and revive their chase for a spot in the playoffs.

Minnesota hosts Chicago on Tuesday night, five points out of the final playoff spot in the West.
