What's Open And What's Closed On Memorial Day
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It's Memorial Day – a time to honor and remember all of those who have fallen in the line of duty as well as those who continue to serve all of the U.S. military branches.
To commemorate the day, many people have it off and a lot of places are closed.
To help avoid any confusion, here's a list of some of the places that are closed this holiday.
Post offices are closed and there's no regular mail service. Public schools are closed, as well as the University of Minnesota. Local, state and federal offices are also closed.

Both buses and the light rail will be open but will follow the Metro Transit Sunday/holiday schedules. Check schedules by visiting Metro Transit online.
Other businesses, such as banks, grocery stores and restaurants will have varying hours depending upon location.
For those looking to spend a little money, malls and movie theaters will be open but may have shortened hours, so call ahead.
