75 Percent Of Waseca Homes, Businesses Have Flood Damage
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The realization of damage from last week's storms is quickly growing in southern Minnesota.
As much as 13 inches of rain fell in Waseca County last week. Water damaged homes, flooded streets and made a mess of businesses.
The county emergency management director says the county's assessment has doubled in the last few days.
As many as 75 percent of the homes and businesses in the area have some flood damage.
Residents are allowed to dump their now-destroyed electronics, carpet and furniture at the county fairgrounds through Sunday.
