MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Vikings announced Thursday they've signed free agent quarterback Mike Kafka and defensive end Caesar Rayford.

Kafka, a quarterback out of Northwestern, is entering his fifth NFL season. He spent the 2014 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers both on the active roster and the practice squad. Kafka spent part of 2013 with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New England Patriots before being waived by both teams.

He played in 2011 in four games for the Philadelphia Eagles, throwing for 107 yards and two interceptions.

Rayford is a defensive end out of Washington in his third NFL season. He spent 2014 with the Calgary Stampeders and the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. His first NFL game action came in 2013 with the Dallas Cowboys, recording five tackles in seven games.

To make room for the two on the roster, the Vikings waived quarterback Pat Devlin.
