Vikings Sign 6 Draft Picks; Treadwell Still Unsigned

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have signed six draft picks, leaving only one player in the class without a contract.

The Vikings finalized four-year rookie deals Friday with cornerback Mackensie Alexander (second round, Clemson), offensive lineman Willie Beavers (fourth round, Western Michigan), linebacker Kentrell Brothers (fifth round, Missouri), tight end David Morgan (sixth round, Texas-San Antonio), defensive end Stephen Weatherly (seventh round, Vanderbilt) and safety Jayron Kearse (seventh round, Clemson).

Earlier this week, they signed wide receiver Moritz Boehringer, a sixth-round selection from Germany.
Wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, their first-round pick out of Mississippi, was the only draftee without a deal as the Vikings began rookie minicamp.

"It will be done soon. I've got a great agent, and I'm just waiting for the go-ahead," Treadwell said between practices at team headquarters.

The Vikings were the first team in the league last season to sign their entire draft class.
