Vikings Diggs, Rudolph Hoping For Big Night On Short Week

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Vikings face a huge test on a national stage Thursday night, on the road against one of the top teams in the NFL.

The Vikings are in Arizona to face the 10-2 Cardinals. A win would let them at the very least stay with Green Bay in the NFC North standings. A loss puts them at 8-5 with three games left, likely needing to finish at 10-6 for a wildcard spot.

It's a short week for the Vikings, who had a rough performance in all phases after a 38-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

When the Vikings have been good and won games, Teddy Bridgewater has been a good quarterback. One of the bright spots this season has also been rookie wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

He's been Bridgewater's go-to target, and he's put up some impressive numbers. Mike Max caught up with Diggs this week about his success and what motivates him.

Another player that's been good when the Vikings have won is tight end Kyle Rudolph. He is continuing his rise as an offensive threat for the Vikings. The fifth-year tight end has seen his share of ups and downs.

He knows not to hit the panic button after a bad game like Sunday. And he thinks a short week can be a good thing.
