Vikings' Barr, Bridgewater Selected To Pro Bowl

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A day after Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith was selected to his first Pro Bowl, two more players found out they're heading to Hawaii.

The Vikings announced Monday that linebacker Anthony Barr and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater have been selected to the Pro Bowl. They're joining Smith, Adrian Peterson and Everson Griffen. Both Barr and Bridgewater were selected as injury replacements. Barr is replacing Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins, while Bridgewater is replacing Cardinals' quarterback Carson Palmer.

In his second season, Barr had 68 tackles for the Vikings. He also had 3.5 sacks, one interception, four tackles for a loss and three forced fumbles.

Bridgewater helped lead the Vikings to an 11-5 record and an NFC North title in his first full season as a starting quarterback. He completed 65.3 percent of his passes for more than 3,200 yards and 14 touchdowns.
