Vikings Agree To Terms With Bridgewater, 2 Others
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Vikings announced Tuesday they've signed three of their picks from the NFL Draft earlier this month.
Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, defensive tackle Shamar Stephen and linebacker Brandon Watts agreed to rookie contracts. Bridgewater, who the Vikings traded back into the first round to pick, was taken with the last pick of the first round. He was a three-year starter at Louisville and through for more than 3,900 yards and 31 touchdowns last season.
Stephen was a seventh round draft choice and started 12 games for Connecticut last season. He finished with 60 tackles, including a team-high 10 for a loss.
Watts was also a seventh round draft pick and started 29 games at Georgia Tech. He started 12 games in his final college season and recorded 66 tackles.
