Victims Of Double-Fatal Crash In Eastern ND ID'd

HILLSBORO, N.D. (AP) -- The Highway Patrol has identified two women who died in a weekend crash in eastern North Dakota.

Authorities say 23-year-old Mercedes Rowley, of Sharon, North Dakota, and 21-year-old Teja Beyer, of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, were passengers in a car that went off a Traill County road Saturday night northeast of Hillsboro and rolled.

The women were thrown from the car and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 51-year-old James Yahnke, of Nielsville, Minnesota, was flown to a Fargo hospital with unspecified injuries. He was charged with driving under the influence.
