Valleyfair To Introduce North Star Ride In 2017
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – As the end of one Valleyfair era comes to a close, a new one begins.
The amusement park announced it will release a new ride in the spot left vacant by the closing of the Enterprise.
North Star, a 230-foot-tall Starflyer ride, will take the Enterprise's place.
North Star is a 230-foot-tall ride that places riders in two-person chain-link swings and raises them up more than 20 stories above ground. The ride begins to rotate in a circular motion as the tower ascends and can reach speeds of up to 40 mph.
The name is meant to "celebrate the region's affinity to being 'up north.'"
The new ride will become the second tallest ride in the park, next to the 275-foot Power Tower.
North Star will be finished before the next season. So, as soon as summer of 2017 you can fly through the air with the greatest of ease.
