Unattended Bag Prompts Shutdown At MSP, Nothing Hazardous Found

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A portion of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport's Terminal One was shutdown Wednesday afternoon for more than an hour as law enforcement investigated an unattended bag.
An airport spokesperson says officials were notified at 4 p.m. about unattended luggage inside the Stone Arch restaurant. A bomb squad was called to investigate, and the airport cleared out and closed off Terminal One's mall area.
At 5:30 p.m., the airport announced that the bag did not contain any hazard materials and that the closed off areas were again open to travelers.
The airport cautioned that because of the shutdown some flights might be delayed. Travelers are encouraged to check with their airlines.
