'U' Taking Precautions Over Ebola Outbreak
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The University of Minnesota is monitoring the Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa and has taken some precautions.
Students from West Africa coming to the U are not asked to take extra health checks as a precaution against the spread of the Ebola virus.
All of those incoming students are being advised about the outbreak and possible travel complications.
The U is following the Center for Disease Control's advisory by issuing a student travel restriction to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
University staffers are getting updates about signs and symptoms of Ebola virus, and the appropriate infection control precautions.
