U Of M Study States Black Bears Negatively Affected By Drones
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A new study from the University of Minnesota claims black bears are affected by drones.
Researchers looked at data from collared black bears living in northwestern Minnesota.
They found when a drone was overhead they saw "pretty severe" stress responses in the bears.
In some cases, their heart rates increased by 400 percent.
The 'U' research crew says they will continue to study drones effects on wildlife since little is known at this point.
